Why Get Rid of Your Pool?

There are many reasons people want to get rid of in-ground pools. Many older pools have cracks and leak water over time. They also can be a hassle to maintain, especially when all of your equipment stops working, and the pool becomes more like a pond!

One of the first steps in the pool demolition process is obtaining a permit from the city. We will take care of this for you and ensure all necessary paperwork is completed and filed correctly. You don’t have to worry about dealing with the city at all!

      OUR SIMPLE PROCESS

      • Permitting

Obtain a permit from the city.

      • Prep Work

We get heavy machinery into the backyard by removing gates or fence panels. We can also uproot plants and replant after we are finished.

      • Demo Begins

Begin to break the concrete and coping around the pool 2-3 ft below ground level

      • Ensure Proper Drainage

We break a 3ft by 3ft hole at the lowest point of the bottom of the pool to ensure proper drainage.

      • Pool Backfill

We backfill the rest of the pool with dirt to 90% compaction.

      • Plumbing & Electrical

We cap off all plumbing and electrical running to the pool equipment.

      • Clean-up & Grading

We clean up and grade the  backyard to the  clients desire.

All of this usually takes 4-5 days for us to complete the demolition process. We do everything to code per San Diego codes for pool demolition

We use specialized equipment and techniques to minimize disruption to your property and ensure that the job is done safely and efficiently.

Throughout the process, we prioritize communication with our clients and keep them informed of the progress. We understand that pool demolition can be a big project, and we aim to make the process as stress-free as possible.

Our pricing is very straightforward, and we usually come in cheaper than other companies.

OUR SAN DIEGO POOL DEMO CUSTOMERS

"My swimming pool was empty for over 15 years. I pumped it out every time it rained, but it was a real pain. It was cracking and the tile was falling off. I thought about having it demolished a few times and actually got an estimate a few years ago. I was shocked to find it was more expensive to demo than it cost to install it. I ignored it for years until I started looking for new homeowners insurance. Surprise, surprise....thanks to Google Earth, the various insurance companies saw I had an empty pool and refused to insure me. I had no choice now and began to explore removal. Luckily, I came across Jake's Demolition. Jake came right out and gave me an estimate that was much more reasonable than the ones I had previously received. I pulled the trigger on the spot, and within a week, my pool was gone and I had insurance! Honestly, I can't say enough nice things about doing business with Jake. He's an excellent communicator and actually follows through with what he says. Jake and his crew worked quickly, efficiently and were respectful of my property. It was a pleasure doing business with Jake's Demolition! Jake goes the extra mile and my yard was left in much better shape than before they started! I only wish I had something else for Jake to demolish"

"Once I made up my mind to remove my pool I looked at several companies but kept coming back to Jakes Pool Removal. When I made the call I felt secure that I had made the right decision.  Jake came out the next day and explained step by step what was to occur. His team was considerate and hard working and Jake was in touch daily and always answered my calls. If any problems arose they were quickly handled.  I could not be more satisfied."
